I was hired to create the brand for this newly renovated historic hotel. The goal was to honor the history of the space while simultaneously appealing to a modern traveler.

I collaborated with GROWL agency to create the media kit, and a web developer, Amna Jamal, to complete the website.
I was in charge of designing collateral such as postcards, wooden drink tokens and signage for the grand Opening Event and exclusive Investor Stay weekends. I worked with Karrie Kuklish and Danielle Zimmerman on the event planning, media strategy and digital + printed design items for the Grand Opening community event.
I directed photography with Kaylan Robinson and videography with Logan McLennan.
I remain as the part-time marketing manager of the hotel, for which my duties include website design & upkeep, social media management, press & media management, merchandise design, and marketing collateral.

Behind The Brand
“What” is The Hotel Melrose? a newly renovated 1908 historic boutique hotel with modern amenities.
“Who” is The Hotel Melrose? At once The Hotel Melrose is steeped in tradition while embracing the modern, experiential traveler.
“Where” is The Hotel Melrose? Poised in downtown Grand Junction, Colorado where small city life bleeds into agricultural splendor, The Hotel Melrose offers a sophisticated and amenity-rich stay while being steps from local wineries and peach farms, world class mountain biking, hiking trails and more.
Finally, “why” The Hotel Melrose unique? To provide a retreat for the exploratory traveler.
With this foundation laid, the brand unfolded to encompass rich character, colors, textures and patterns juxtaposed by modern text, moody imagery and exciting flecks of neon and gold.
